Smart Wheel Chair for Elderly and Disabled People

Smart wheel chair is a device with a combination of electronic and mechanical technology. Now a days the interests of designing the smart wheelchair is growing up rapidly. Mostly the wheelchair requirement is necessary for old age homes and handicapped people; It is basically produced to encourage self mobility. This project goal is to make a smart wheel chair which contains smart features; to help the users in their routine life.


Through this design; we can minimize the people’s effort. Also these kinds of smart wheel chairs help the physically or visually disabled people; they can use this wheel chair to move without other people's help. This wheel chair has designed mainly with three features; such as obstacle detection; back posture monitoring system and the final is key less smart entry.

Project Description

Development of a WC Automatic Flushing System

The toilet is in a continuous use during a whole day. After using toilet, it is typically needed to press the button provided on the top surface of the toilet tank or push the handle to flush. However, nowadays people pay more and more attention to personal health and hygiene, trying their best to decrease the risks of contacting the bacteria and hoping to flush the toilet without pressing the flush button on the toilet tank or pushing the handle specially when using a public toilet.


The traditional flushing devices are usually operated manually, thus requiring human intervention.  However, flushing off the waste is a crucial task as it saves from much disease that can be caused from the microbes produced from the waste, yet still some people fail to flush the toilet because of the negligence or they find that the manual touch of the activating lever is hygienically adverse. Hence, to handle these problems the concept of an automatic flushing device is the best solution.

Project Description

Wireless monitoring system for the elderly People

This project has different sensors to work simultaneously. The sensors are pulse sensor, body temperature sensor, body positioning sensor and a gas sensor. The role of the pulse sensor and body temperature sensor is to read the user’s pulse and temperature. 

 

When the users’ pulse or temperature rises above the ideal amount, a text will be sent to the doctor to notify about this and ask him to check with the patient right away. If the body positioning sensor didn’t detect any body movement for a certain time it will notify the carer or the doctor immediately. Finally, In the event of any carbon monoxide being detected the gas sensor will trigger an alarm and notify the carer immediately. 

Project Description

Hidden Mobile Phone Detector

The main goal of this project is to identify active mobile phones in the examination halls. For an example; in the exam hall mobile phones are strictly not allowed to use in order to prohibit cheating activities by the students. Thus, this project will helpful to find out the active mobile phones within a certain distance.

 
The device can find out the active mobile phones in different conditions, i.e. when a person is making a call or receiving a call and it can detect when he/she sending or receiving a message. 

In this device, we are using LC circuits form tuned with RF detector. So that, the device can detects the signals in a specific range. I.e. it can identify the signals between the ranges of 0.9 to 3 GHz.

Project Description

Sun Tracking Solar System

This project uses a solar panel which is coupled with a stepper motor. So that, the solar panel can track the maximum sun light during the day time with the help of stepper motor. This method could be compared with the light sensing method which tracks the sunlight but it is not accurate during the cloudy days. Among the available resources, sun light is plentiful and is very easy to convert light energy into electrical energy. Using the solar panel for this kind of converting light energy into electrical energy is ideal, but the transition of sun from east to west makes the solar panel to produce only an average output. This project can solve the problem by making a suitable solar panel to track the sun. 

 

The tracking movement done in this project is achieved by coupling a stepper motor to the solar panel so that the panel always maintain a perpendicular angle between the face of solar panel and the sun. By this action, the maximum energy is generated. The process of making a perpendicular angle is done using a programmed microcontroller to rotate the mounted panel as desired by delivering stepped pulses in periodical time intervals to the stepper motor. 

Project Description

Smart Car For Driver Safety

To minimize the accidents which occur due to carelessness, a type of driver safety has to be made. Hence this project has been put forward to reduce the probability of accidents. When the driver turns on the engine, all the sensors will be switched on. For an example; when the alcohol sensor is turned on, it starts checking whether the alcoholic gas is present in the air or not. If there is any presence of alcoholic gas in air, then the engine automatically turns off, so the driver can't drive the car.

 
In the absense of alcoholic gas in air, then the driver is allowed to drive the car. The alcohol sensor will work throughout the car driving process. Also when the driver is in busy areas like city centres or school zones, the microcontroller fixed in the car automatically makes the driver to limit the speed of the car. Even if the driver is facing any obstacles like walls or other vehicles which are very nearby, the ultrasonic sensors in the car helps to slow down the speed of the car until the obstacle is cleared.
